Sea-urchins were a conspicuous feature, and many nearly allied forms are still living; _Cidaris_, _Micraster_, _Discoidea_ are examples.
The king was distinguished from all those who surrounded him, by the magnificence of his robes, and by the cidaris or mitre upon his head.
