Averrhoa bilimbi (Oxalidæ).—It has long been known,[5] firstly, that the leaflets in this genus sleep; secondly, that they move spontaneously during the day; and thirdly, that they are sensitive to a touch; but in none of these respects do they differ essentially from the species of Oxalis.
